It has been exactly one month. 10 February 2009 signified a big change in my life and it has been exactly one month ever since then. I love my life now…I love the way it is now.

Yesterday, 10 March 2009, was another turning point of life for me. Lol, not really a big change actually, just that I became a year elder. Hehe. My this year birthday celebration was very different but I really like it and appreciate it. The night before my birthday, I was in Lee’s place till 1 something in the morning. I was just hanging out with my new and old friends there since I was doing nothing that night. The next day, I woke up to get ready for class. Initially, I had the idea of skipping class since I only had one hour lecture for that day but then the wiser side of me “forced” me to go to class. Hehe! Woke up and got ready and suddenly I just had the sudden urge to camwhore since my parents bought me a new dress for my birthday.

Oh yeah, but first of all, I took photo of “someone” who has been spending a lot of time with me. Was so happy to see “him” when I first woke up early in the morning. I even had the feeling of “him” wishing me “Happy Birthday, Ann!” when I was looking at “him” that morning. Here “he” is…

Ok, looks like I was seriously bored and had nothing better to do…hehe!

Finally it was time for me to go off to class. Since it was really cold that day, I put on my jacket and plus, I should be decent in class… Off I went to class…

Came back from class, I did not feel like eating lunch but yeah, Reva as usual will never let me live peacefully without having proper meals regularly. Therefore, she cooked me fried rice with “sambal” chicken for lunch…yummy! Thanks Reva!

I had a surprised birthday party on that day too. It was a double celebration as my housemate’s birthday falls on the same day as me too. Thanks to my friends for holding the party. Oh yeah, the way they tricked me to come out off my room was really scary as I was quite shocked by what they told me. Thanks to their “brilliant” idea, I was actually freaked out at first. Hehe! I really appreciate what they did, especially the cake and the brownies they baked, it was seriously delicious. Thanks to them for preparing other food too. I am really touched by what they did. Thanks everyone for everything, the wishing, the party, the cards, and presents too! Thank you!

I am doing perfectly fine! My disappearance for almost one and the half months does not mean that I have withdrawn myself from everyone or the blogging world. I am just too busy to blog but I am really doing fine and great. Look at the smile on my face…(P/S: Picture speaks a thousand words ok! )

So yeah, to everyone out there, I am still alive and certainly doing really great now. Perhaps there is some changes in my life, but in a positive way. Anyway, I am still lacking of time to blog. More updates to come in future…stay tune!

Finally the day I am eagerly waiting for has arrived!

I get to wear my new clothes , get “ang pows”, get to eat Chinese new year delicacies, and most importantly, I get to see almost all my relatives…yeah, I am eagerly waiting to see those newborn and cute babies from any of my relatives. Whoa! I love babies!

I really had lots of fun last year. Hopefully this year will be the same or better. But one thing for sure, I will definitely want to celebrate Chinese New Year to the max this year because I have to appreciate every single opportunity I have for the moment. How I wish my brother is around to celebrate with my family. I know after a few days of enjoyment for Chinese New Year, I will have another bigger thing in life to look forward to. My life will definitely change in a few weeks time and perhaps I will be a changed person by then. It will be for the better, I hope.

Till then, I am wishing everyone out there an Ox-picious year. May all of you be strong like an Ox in facing the challenges ahead. Do have an Ox-some and wonderful Lunar ‘Niu’ Year!

A few more minutes and it will be 2009. It feels as if I have just celebrated New Year not long ago but then here comes another New Year. My New Year celebration for this time is different from last year and I know I will most probably have a very different New Year celebration next year. As the saying goes, “Nothing stays the same”. Everything changes from time to time. Audacious, thrilling, enjoyable, strenuous, challenging…that is how I would describe my life in 2008. There were happy moments and sad moments too. Yet, I would categorise myself lucky to have the life I am having now. I really appreciate whoever and whatever I am having in my life now. Yes, I am contented with my life now but no doubt that improvement should be done to better my life.

I know I have changed quite a lot this year. Was it for the better or worse…that, I myself do not know. I should say something that occured in my life early this year has made me change a lot. It made me understand clearer of what this whole world is all about. People are  not as simple-minded as I thought and the world is not as peaceful as I thought.

Whenever the New Year arrives, there should be New Year resolutions as well. My New Year resolutions for 2009? Well, there are just too many for me to list down. However, I just hope my loved ones including friends and myself will have a better life in the year of ox in terms of health and happiness. Wealth? Well, oklar, in terms of wealth also but money is not everything in life. Happiness means the most to me but sometimes I am still searching the true meaning of happiness in life. Happiness is just something abstract and undefinable.

2009 will be a very different year for me. I will lead a very different life next year and I really hope it is for the better. I guess I am really looking forward to my life next year because since last time I have always wished to be somewhere far from everyone who knows me. I just want to feel how is it to be by myself and only surrounded by unknown people. It is not that I do not appreciate the people around me now, I do appreciate them, but sometimes I just want to lead a different life. I want some changes and a different environment. I just want to take control of my own life at times. I just hope 2009 will be a great year for me and everyone else.

Anyway, I met up with Kristie and Marisa today! Marisa is a friend of mine whom I knew 2 years back while we were in the Yayasan Telekom educamp for our scholarship application. We both secured a scholarship from Telekom but we both rejected it because it was not the course of our choice. Although it wasn’t a long meet up, but I really do appreciate those moments I was with them. We met up in Star Parade, Pacific, had lunch together, walked around the shopping complex, then we parted. We did chat a lot during that time and it was so fun hanging out with them. Thanks girls!

Till then, I am going to bid goodbye to 2008 very very soon. I know I am going to miss my life in 2008 yet, I am also looking forward to my life in 2009. I shall not look back at the past anymore and just look ahead to my future.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!!!

2005

This was my geng during my secondary school days and they are still my geng to hang out with when I am back in my hometown. From left : Neoh, Slyvia, me, Kristie, Caryn, and Azalia. This photo was taken approximately a few weeks before our SPM examination, so, yeah, no doubt we were having the stressful faces. LOL!

We were all the primary Convent school girls which answers the question why we could click very well until now. Lol. We had the same thinking, same wavelengths, same interests, and same spoken language (except for Azalia but she can speak English very well), we are still the same in almost everything I guess… Their company makes me feel at comfort because we are very open to each other and we could just say whatever we like to each other without any hesitation. We gossiped, we ate together during recess time, we stood together during any assembly, we sat side by side in classes and tuitions, we walked together to labs and moral classes, we walked back together to the main gate when school dismissed, we attended almost the same co-curricular activities, we went for the same tuition centres, basically we saw a lot of each almost everyday during our secondary school life. However, we never got bored of each other. Hehe! Maybe we had too much of each other which is why God separates us from each other now. LOL! It is very unfortunate for us that we can hardly meet each other now but glad that we still find ways to meet up whenever we are back home and we still keep in contact with each other via MSN or other means of communication which is free since we are all so far apart.

2007

If I am not wrong, this was our first meet up after SPM which was last year (14.12.2007). It was some sort of a farewell thingy for Slyvia before she left for the United States to pursue her studies. Unfortunately, Azalia could not make it for the meet up. We were having lunch in a Japanese restaurant near Village Mall and went to walk in Village Mall a while. That was my first time in Village Mall. It was not up to my expectation. Wanting a quiet place to chat and gossip, we then headed to Kristie’s house and went straight into her room. Lol, we started our girls’ talk like we had never talked in our life before. Our conversation covered almost every single thing, the past, the present, and the future (you wouldn’t want to know what did we even talk about our future because it will scare you off…lol), even random stuff. Hehe!

This is some sort of our “promise” to meet up again in future whenever we can. We were uncertain if we could ever meet up in a complete group in one or two years to come. After that, we parted and went separate ways. Well, no doubt, we are sad to leave each other once again, but then at least we had a great outing to be remembered.

2008

With God’s will, we managed to meet up again after one year plus, 26.12.2008. This was us in Secret Recipe, Village Mall.

Well, again, Village Mall. Lol. SP is just too small and there isn’t any interesting place to hang out. However, again, it was not a complete group outing. Caryn was not there this time but Azalia was. It was better than nothing. We were all so excited to meet each other after a year of temporary separation. Kristie and I reached Secret Recipe first and we were searching high and low for them and finally we heard a familiar voice shouting “Mangkuk!” from behind. Oh well, that was Slyvia, never change even though a year of studying abroad. Hehe! Oh yeah, she actually came up with the term “PANAS GUYS” and our whole conversation for that day revolved a lot of that term. She said she could not resist from telling her friends in the States whenever she saw any hot guys, so being a typical Malaysian, she used the Malay language to describe the hot guys there, therefore, she came up with the term, “PANAS GUYS”.   Neoh as usual, did not change either, she is never punctual, she was around 10 minutes late. Lol! We were not long in Secret Recipe, approximately around one hour plus then off we went to Old Town because we wanted a different environment.

Oh yeah, we made a hell lot of noise when we were there. I guess we had turned Old Town Kopitiam into a real “kopitiam”…lol! Oh, by the way, did you realise our theme colour for that day? They were black and green! Well, it wasn’t any sort of conspiration, just a coincidence! Hehe!

It was then the sad part, the time all of us had to separate once again but, never mind, we will surely meet up again someday. Till then, thank you girls for the great outing! Will always remember you all. We shall reunite again whenever there is a chance. Take care my friends!

P/S : I will be meeting up with Kristie tomorrow. She is coming to find me. Supposedly our meet up is today, however, she is down with fever so, it is postponed to tom0rrow. I am so excited to see her once again and my Alor Setar friend, Marisa will be with us too. There will be girls’ talk once more though it won’t be so crazy like how we did in a group but at least something is better than nothing! Get well soon girl because I want us to talk and gossip and crap till we drop dead. Lol! See you Kristie and Marisa!

Yeah, we held the dinner in Palace of the Golden Horses after much discussion and contemplation from the comittee members of the Annual Dinner.

Table F…that was my table for that night. Those who were on the same table as me were Adam Jay, Lee Kok Lian, Chew Jian Yong, Daryl Davidson, Revathy, Grace Lee, Amy Chong, Izyan Izzaty, and Sharmyn Lim.

Dr. Boon…my lecturer for Human Development during my first sem and Learning and the Learner during my second sem. She was great in every way. Thanks for everything, Ma’am!

Madam Caroline Yong…my lecturer for Classroom Management.

Madam Tan Aig Bee…my lecturer for Social Studies during my foundation.

Grace Lee…she was the first person whom I spoke to when I first entered my foundation class. Ever since then, I have been sitting beside her every day during foundation. She is a great friend! May she have a great time in Wellington, New Zealand next year!

Dayang Intan…my classmate since foundation. A very sweet girl and nice friend. May she have a great life in Wellington, New Zealand next year.

Izyan Izzaty…my housemate since foundation. Gotten closer to her middle of this year. A fun girl to be with. She is like my “kakak”. Lol. She is a year elder than me, so, she is definitely my “kakak”…hehe! We studied a lot together for our finals. She will be off to Brisbane, Australia next year…all the best!

Well, here comes the ravishing Revathy. Hmm…what should I say about her? She is the closest person to me in college this year, apart from my junior, Saw Nancie. She gave me a not-so-good-first-impression when she first stormed into the class during foundation. I was actually scared by her attitude and I told myself that this girl is never going to be my friend. However, as the saying goes, always expect the unexpected. She is my closest friend for now though she can really piss me off at times and I am glad that I am not going to miss her because she will be my housemate and uni mate next year. Guess we will have lots of fun together but I will have to control her because she can get very hyper at times and start doing and talking nonsense. Looking forward to it!

Preena, sweet and pretty girl…the one who used to jog and play badminton with me in the evening. We could really chat a lot while doing our jog. She was the one who will be always “scolding” me to eat more. Lol. Thanks for everything, Preena. She will be off to Marjon, the United Kingdom next year. May she have a bright future there.

Alia Dougson, only got to know her this year. Nice girl. Glad that she will be my uni mate and housemate next year. Will be hanging out with her a lot. We will definitely have lots of fun together!

Estee Ooi, a girl from up north, Perlis. We often travel back to KL together. Thanks for your company, girl. May you have a great time in Wellington, New Zealand next year! Take care!

Goh Mun Ting, a Penangite. Well, I don’t really know her well, but she is a nice girl. Has always been Estee’s roommate. Hope she will have a bright future in Brisbane, Australia. All the best!

He is very proud of Nibong Tebal because according to him, PREMIER tissue papers are manufactured there. Lol! He has been my classmate since foundation. Quite a funky and gothic guy. Oh well, if he is reading this, I guess he will feel honoured that I described him as gothic as he likes to be one. May he have a great time in the United Kingdom!

Some other new people that I have not mentioned yet. Far left, Daryl Davidson Jubilee (a cool name he has…lol!). He is a Sabahan who will be joining Adam in Marjon, the United Kingdom. Hope he will have fun with Adam there. On my right is Ng Chee Loong from Kampar, Ipoh. He will be in the same uni as Adam and Daryl. May everything sails smoothly for him there.

A guitar performance. That is Lee Kok Lian (will introduce him in another clearer photo of him) and Khirol on action. They did a good job that night. Congrats!

Yeah, it was Reva’s birthday. Happy Birthday to her. I bought her this cake and I guess she liked it, didn’t she? Lol! Hopefully being a year elder will make her a wiser person…hehe!

Ok, the last person I should introduce here. Lee Kok Lian, a Sarawakian. He is from Miri. He will be my uni mate as well, so, I will definitely be seeing a lot of him too for the next 2 years. Well, we share the same surname and people said that is why we are both blur. Lol. Many of our coursemates assumed that the LEEs are blur, but are we really? Well, that is for us to know and for you to find out!

All in all, I should say we all, Cohort 5, had a great and memorable night during the Annual Dinner. There was fun time when some of us started dancing while there was emo moment too when the lecturers started singing some songs of their own creation to describe us. Although we are all going seperate ways, we will definitely try our very best to keep in touch with each other. Separation is good at times as absence makes the heart grow fonder.

We shall all reunite again after 2 years! Good luck everyone!

High School Musical (2006), High School Musical 2 (2007)…

And there goes High School Musical 3 for this year…the very first and very last High School Musical movie that I actually watched in cinema. I watched the first and second one from VCDs. I have been hoping to watch High School Musical 3 the very first day it was shown in the cinema which was on the 24th October but I was just too busy with my final examination. Finally I get to watch it yesterday.

The movie was nice but among the three High School Musical movies, I still like the songs in the first and second High School Musical the most especially “Got to Go My Own Way” and “When There Was Me and You”. Or maybe it is because I haven’t heard much of High School Musical 3 songs yet, so not really into it yet.

It was a happy ending though Troy and Gabriella had to go separate ways. Both of them went to different colleges.

I have been quite busy after the Raya break which answers why is there no update in my blog for about 2 weeks. Well, I have to prepare for my test and I am quite occupied with many things. Right now I am supposed to study for my tomorrow’s L&L test but I am just taking a break from it for a while to blog. I just suddenly feel like blogging tonight. Probably it is my current feelings which is inspiring me to blog. I did not attend lectures for today as I fell sick this morning when I woke up. Had mild fever, sore throat, and terrible headache. I guess I ate too much “tomyam” during yesterday’s steamboat. So, I decided to stay in my room in order for me to recover faster so that I can sit for my test tomorrow. I was practically sleeping the whole morning and was having some weird dreams when I was sleeping. I do not know why am I dreaming a lot lately. Maybe I am just stressed out.

Time is flying too fast for me…well, that is what I feel though. I finally went for my fitting session to do my blazer yesterday. Had to wait for such a long time for my turn to come. By the time my turn came, it was already 8 plus at night. Can you imagine I actually waited for my turn for many hours. The fitting session started at 2.30pm. Right after I was done with my fitting session, I immediately ran back to attend my steamboat dinner. Well, I should say the steamboat dinner was fun, just that I did not really get to feel the fun of it as I was not really in the mood.

My mood has not been that good lately. The same goes for today. Well, maybe keeping quiet is all I should do from now on. Hence, I am going to continue studying my L&L after this and sit for my test tomorrow. Then I am going out to have some fun tomorrow evening. I really miss those days when I have all my time to myself and my own life. Tomorrow evening shall be a great time for me.

P/S: My question for today. Do people know that using the phrase “What the hell…” to someone else is a little bit too harsh when both parties are having serious talk? Seriously, I feel it is a little bit too much. It is understandable if teenagers nowadays use it as an expression in their normal conversation, but not during a real serious talk. What do you people think?

Time flies. Felt as if it was not long ago that I went there alone, but it has already been exactly one year(from the date of the photos) that I was there alone. Yeap, I did go there somewhere around this year but I was not alone that time. I just love to hang out at this place be it I am sad or happy. Well, I will be there alone if I am sad. It is just full of serenity, peace, and calmness. A highly recommended place for those who are yearning for a peaceful mind and also for couples to date.

I do not normally go there alone but I guess last year I was just a little stressed out about something, cannot really remember what happened though. However, I could still remember it was scorching hot when I went there last year. I was actually planning to reach there earlier but then I was hold up by something…bad time management! Lol.

So, I departed from my place around 11 plus and reached my intended destination at approximately 12 plus. Went there via LRT. Was taking a very slow walk along a pathway and I saw this…

Lee Hom…yeah, I used to like him a lot, or probably I should say I used to be crazy over him to the extreme. The immature side of me. However, now I am kinda slowly losing my interest in him…slowly getting over my obsession…probably I realised there is something more important and significant in my life which I should care more about…

This is the place I am talking about…a lake…it is just not a normal lake, it is simply perfect for me since I cannot find any other serene place to hang out. I love the fountain.

Oh yeah, I saw this cute little European girl with her mum when I was there. I guess she was captivated by the beauty of the fountain. She really attracted my attention, so, I secretly took a photo of her. Well, those who know me well enough will know that I love babies a lot. Someone always says this to me, “Tell me, which baby is not cute to you?”. Lol…

Well, after reading all these, some of you might know this place even before I state the location of it. For those who do not know, it is located outside Suria KLCC…

My first time hanging out at the lake was during my first year of foundation itself, middle of September, 2006. I just love the lake a lot. Yeah, I just love hanging out at lakes, beaches, and at high places like KL Tower…they make me feel at ease

First post of my recapitulation of what I did with my bro when he was back in Malaysia during the summer break. As I have said, I had not had much time to spend with him while he was back. But overall, I had fun with him.

The first thing that I did with him was attending the Malaysian Student Leaders Summit on the 2nd and 3rd of August, which he asked me to attend it to get more exposure. It was held in Nikko Hotel. Well, overall I should say MSLS was okay though it was a bit boring on the first day, the second day was quite fun. You will know the reason later.

Dato’ Seri Abdullah Hj. Ahmad Badawi was one of the speakers on the first day but seriously, I find his talk very very very very very boring. No offence (freedom of speech)! However, what made the first day fun was some of us had a BBQ party together after the summit in one of the participant’s house, Jerng Hwa’s house actually. Although most of us just gotten to know each other on that day itself, we could mingle around with each other well enough. Yeah, the BBQ party ended quite late that night which caused some of us to oversleep on the second day of the summit. Hehe!

He is really an awesome speaker. Seriously, he is. Throughout his talk, I really did not feel bored at all. His talk was full of entertainment, excitement, and rationality. I guess all the participants of the summit would feel the same way as well. I really admire his speaking skills. He is truly a knowledgeable guy who knows everything at his fingertips. Managed to get a photo of him while he was being interviewed outside the hall…

My bro and myself with my mum childhood friend’s children…I have forgotten their names though…met them for the very first time in my life, hehe…they came to Nikko Hotel to meet us.

Overall, MSLS was okay, sometimes boring, sometimes fun but what made it great and meaningful was my bro was there with me. Thanks bro!

Finally I am done with all my assignments and my presentations for this semester. Just only finished my last assignment and I am going to hand it up later on. Well, basically it signifies my first year is coming to the end. All I need to concentrate on for now is on my upcoming test and exam. Hopefully everything will go well and then I will move on to another new chapter of my life next year, for the better I guess, as I feel life has not been that great for me lately. I am feeling so stressed out with so many things in my life. Sometimes certain things are just hard to say out. Probably I just need some time off for myself. Caring for too many things in life is just too tiring sometimes.

It felt as if it was not long ago that I was waiting for him in the KLIA Airport to touch down…it was 17 July 2008, approximately 11.30pm when I first saw him walking out of the arrival hall, after not seeing him for one year. He immediately came and hugged my mum and I and me being naughty enough did not ask him anything else but just the hp he promised to give me. Hehe!

Me : “Ke Ke, (that is how I call my bro…alright, Chinese educated people will spell it as Ge Ge, but, oh well, I am English educated…so, I do not really care about the spelling. As long as I pronounce it correctly.) where is the handphone you promise to give me? Hehe…

Bro : Oh, so this is your main purpose of coming to see melar. No, I won’t give you now…you will have to wait…

Lol, I did not let my bro go that easily. I forced him till he finally gave in to me. Lol, it took a lot of hard work for me as I needed to chase after him in the airport as well. Haha. Fortunately, there was not much people in the airport. So, yeah, finally I got it…

This time around, I could not spend much time with my brother. I only went back to my hometown once, that was during my one week break around last month. Other times were all my bro and family coming down to KL to see me as I was and still am very busy with my assignments. The best moment of me being with my bro and family during these 2 months was when all of us went to Genting for holiday. Well, initially I did not follow them when they left on a Saturday morning as I needed to finish up my assignment. However, finally I managed to complete my assignment that Saturday evening itself and immediately packed my stuff and rushed to KL Sentral to get the earliest bus to head to Genting on my own. Yes, I am glad that I managed to join them though I was quite scared to go on my own as I was not familiar with the place at all. Luckily I managed to find my way to the cable car station to head to Genting. Another fun thing was attending the MSLS conference with my bro. All these I will post it up in the next post.

Tonight my bro will be leaving Malaysia. The saddest thing is I will not be there to see him off. Only my dad and mum will be there. So, the last time I met my bro was 4 September 2008. My whole family was down in KL at that time. I guess that was the last gathering we had together. When will be the next complete family gathering? That only God can answer as I know, I will not be seeing my bro for the next 2 years. Probably next year he will still come back to Malaysia to see my family but I will not be around at that time. So, no complete family gathering.

Basically, during our last meet up, we just spent time together in Mid Valley and The Gardens. It was 4 September 2008, 6pm, that I last saw my bro in The Gardens. After that, my parents took me back to my college and my bro went off to meet a friend of his. So, it will be years till I see my bro the next time…

I bought my bro a Pikachu toy that can give out light. Oh yes, he loves Pikachu a lot as he finds it really cute. Hope you like it bro.
