Cohort 5’s Annual Dinner

Posted: December 20, 2008 in College Life, Friends

There you go…my Annual Dinner post. Yeah, I know I took quite a long time to blog about this but late is better than never,  right? Lol! 😛 Sorry, just a little lack of inspiration and time to blog lately.

Anyway, here are most of the photos that I have taken that night. 9 November 2008 was indeed a memorable date for the Cohort 5 to remember and it was somebody’s birthday as well! 🙂

Yeah, we held the dinner in Palace of the Golden Horses after much discussion and contemplation from the comittee members of the Annual Dinner.

This is our Programme Book. “A Night of Reminiscence”…that was the theme for that night.

Table F…that was my table for that night. Those who were on the same table as me were Adam Jay, Lee Kok Lian, Chew Jian Yong, Daryl Davidson, Revathy, Grace Lee, Amy Chong, Izyan Izzaty, and Sharmyn Lim.

Dr. Boon…my lecturer for Human Development during my first sem and Learning and the Learner during my second sem. She was great in every way. Thanks for everything, Ma’am!

Madam Caroline Yong…my lecturer for Classroom Management.

Madam Tan Aig Bee…my lecturer for Social Studies during my foundation.

Grace Lee…she was the first person whom I spoke to when I first entered my foundation class. Ever since then, I have been sitting beside her every day during foundation. She is a great friend! May she have a great time in Wellington, New Zealand next year!

Dayang Intan…my classmate since foundation. A very sweet girl and nice friend. May she have a great life in Wellington, New Zealand next year.

Izyan Izzaty…my housemate since foundation. Gotten closer to her middle of this year. A fun girl to be with. She is like my “kakak”. Lol. She is a year elder than me, so, she is definitely my “kakak”…hehe! We studied a lot together for our finals. She will be off to Brisbane, Australia next year…all the best!

Well, here comes the ravishing Revathy. Hmm…what should I say about her? She is the closest person to me in college this year, apart from my junior, Saw Nancie. She gave me a not-so-good-first-impression when she first stormed into the class during foundation. I was actually scared by her attitude and I told myself that this girl is never going to be my friend. However, as the saying goes, always expect the unexpected. She is my closest friend for now though she can really piss me off at times and I am glad that I am not going to miss her because she will be my housemate and uni mate next year. Guess we will have lots of fun together but I will have to control her because she can get very hyper at times and start doing and talking nonsense. Looking forward to it! 🙂

Preena, sweet and pretty girl…the one who used to jog and play badminton with me in the evening. We could really chat a lot while doing our jog. She was the one who will be always “scolding” me to eat more. Lol. Thanks for everything, Preena. She will be off to Marjon, the United Kingdom next year. May she have a bright future there.

Alia Dougson, only got to know her this year. Nice girl. Glad that she will be my uni mate and housemate next year. Will be hanging out with her a lot. We will definitely have lots of fun together! 🙂

Estee Ooi, a girl from up north, Perlis. We often travel back to KL together. Thanks for your company, girl. May you have a great time in Wellington, New Zealand next year! Take care!

Goh Mun Ting, a Penangite. Well, I don’t really know her well, but she is a nice girl. Has always been Estee’s roommate. Hope she will have a bright future in Brisbane, Australia. All the best!

From left : Sharmyn Lim from Terengganu who will be off to Auckland, New Zealand, Grace Lee, myself, Preena, and Amy Chong from my own hometown who will be in the same uni as Sharmyn Lim.

My co-ordinator, Yang Mulia Dr. Raja Mazuin…thanks for everything Ma’am!

Someone new I should introduce here. Adam Jay from Nibong Tebal who will be pursuing his studies in Marjon, the United Kingdom. He is very proud of Nibong Tebal because according to him, PREMIER tissue papers are manufactured there. Lol! He has been my classmate since foundation. Quite a funky and gothic guy. Oh well, if he is reading this, I guess he will feel honoured that I described him as gothic as he likes to be one. May he have a great time in the United Kingdom!

From left : Aizat Omar, Shogi Hammanop, Madam Tan, myself, and Khirol.

Another new person to be introduced here…Adnin Azmi from Selayang. He will be my uni mate next year. So, I guess I will be seeing a lot of him too. A nice friend he is.

Some other new people that I have not mentioned yet. Far left, Daryl Davidson Jubilee (a cool name he has…lol!). He is a Sabahan who will be joining Adam in Marjon, the United Kingdom. Hope he will have fun with Adam there. On my right is Ng Chee Loong from Kampar, Ipoh. He will be in the same uni as Adam and Daryl. May everything sails smoothly for him there.

A guitar performance. That is Lee Kok Lian (will introduce him in another clearer photo of him) and Khirol on action. They did a good job that night. Congrats!

Yeah, it was Reva’s birthday. Happy Birthday to her. I bought her this cake and I guess she liked it, didn’t she? Lol! Hopefully being a year elder will make her a wiser person…hehe!

Ok, the last person I should introduce here. Lee Kok Lian, a Sarawakian. He is from Miri. He will be my uni mate as well, so, I will definitely be seeing a lot of him too for the next 2 years. Well, we share the same surname and people said that is why we are both blur. Lol. Many of our coursemates assumed that the LEEs are blur, but are we really? Well, that is for us to know and for you to find out! 😛

All in all, I should say we all, Cohort 5, had a great and memorable night during the Annual Dinner. There was fun time when some of us started dancing while there was emo moment too when the lecturers started singing some songs of their own creation to describe us. Although we are all going seperate ways, we will definitely try our very best to keep in touch with each other. Separation is good at times as absence makes the heart grow fonder. 🙂

We shall all reunite again after 2 years! Good luck everyone! 🙂

I have been quite busy after the Raya break which answers why is there no update in my blog for about 2 weeks. Well, I have to prepare for my test and I am quite occupied with many things. Right now I am supposed to study for my tomorrow’s L&L test but I am just taking a break from it for a while to blog. I just suddenly feel like blogging tonight. Probably it is my current feelings which is inspiring me to blog. I did not attend lectures for today as I fell sick this morning when I woke up. Had mild fever, sore throat, and terrible headache. I guess I ate too much “tomyam” during yesterday’s steamboat. So, I decided to stay in my room in order for me to recover faster so that I can sit for my test tomorrow. I was practically sleeping the whole morning and was having some weird dreams when I was sleeping. I do not know why am I dreaming a lot lately. Maybe I am just stressed out.

Time is flying too fast for me…well, that is what I feel though. I finally went for my fitting session to do my blazer yesterday. Had to wait for such a long time for my turn to come. By the time my turn came, it was already 8 plus at night. Can you imagine I actually waited for my turn for many hours. The fitting session started at 2.30pm. Right after I was done with my fitting session, I immediately ran back to attend my steamboat dinner. Well, I should say the steamboat dinner was fun, just that I did not really get to feel the fun of it as I was not really in the mood.

My mood has not been that good lately. The same goes for today. Well, maybe keeping quiet is all I should do from now on. Hence, I am going to continue studying my L&L after this and sit for my test tomorrow. Then I am going out to have some fun tomorrow evening. I really miss those days when I have all my time to myself and my own life. Tomorrow evening shall be a great time for me.

P/S: My question for today. Do people know that using the phrase “What the hell…” to someone else is a little bit too harsh when both parties are having serious talk? Seriously, I feel it is a little bit too much. It is understandable if teenagers nowadays use it as an expression in their normal conversation, but not during a real serious talk. What do you people think?

Finally I am done with all my assignments and my presentations for this semester. Just only finished my last assignment and I am going to hand it up later on. Well, basically it signifies my first year is coming to the end. All I need to concentrate on for now is on my upcoming test and exam. Hopefully everything will go well and then I will move on to another new chapter of my life next year, for the better I guess, as I feel life has not been that great for me lately. I am feeling so stressed out with so many things in my life. Sometimes certain things are just hard to say out. Probably I just need some time off for myself. Caring for too many things in life is just too tiring sometimes.

Anyway, here are some pictures during the past which I am supposed to blog about it long long ago but I kept on procrastinating. Nancie must be super mad with me for posting it up after so long. Lol. Basically, we just went out together for window shopping, ate in Dragon-i and Secret Recipe, and finally Nancie and Reva had a pierce on the ears…

Good friend but naughty girl…LOL!

“Happy family”…LOL!

I love this photo a lot. Nancie…she knows almost everything about me…she is someone whom I can talk to when I am down…thanks Nancie for understanding me a lot…

The End of “SBE”

Posted: August 19, 2008 in College Life

It has ended…yes, my is “SBE” over! After 2 weeks of going through the deprived-of-sleep mode, I am glad that my teammates and I finally completed our “SBE”. Well, overall I should say my “SBE” was different from most my other coursemates, just very happening with fun and interesting students with us. I should say there is a very big gap between the students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seksyen 4 Kota Damansara in terms of academic and probably character wise. But well, they made our “SBE” an interesting one. Without them, I guess my “SBE” would definitely be dull and there will not be much interesting stories for me to tell to my family and friends. 🙂

Anyway, I do not have much time to blog about my “SBE” yet as I am rushing for my endless assignments…seriously, I am sick of assignments. Oh well, I know I do not have the choice but to do it. I have to finish 2 assignments before this Thursday night as I will be off to Genting after that. Hopefully I can ease my tension during my vacation then.

Here are some pictures of my teammates and I a few days before our “SBE” started. We were just finding our way to our school and yeah, we got lost several times. It was a long and tiring journey for us but an interesting one.

SBE 1

Walking to Kerinchi bus stop.

SBE 2

Waiting for the bus…we were supposed to take either No. 89 Rapid KL or No. 99 Metro Bus.

SBE 3

We were bored waiting for the bus, so, yeah, we began to take pictures of each other.

SBE 4

Another picture.

SBE 5

After an hour plus of waiting for the bus, we finally got up the Rapid KL bus…the bus service was really inconsistent.

SBE 6

This was when we got lost…we were supposed to go to Seksyen 4 but we ended up in Seksyen 10. But we still could smile…lol. We practically did not know what to do at that time.

SBE 7

Happy faces.

SBE 8

Ok, we finally took another bus back to our college because it was already late and we were hungry. However, we could not stand the hunger, so we stopped by at SS 2 Murni to savour the delicious food there.

SBE 9

This is me and Reva during one of our SBE days. I guess we were just too bored…lol.

P/S: My first time of just doing basic photoshop. No choice, assignments are calling me! 🙂

Finally another update after 2 weeks plus of putting myself in an “isolation” mode. I am not in the mood to blog lately. Have not been in the very good mood for the past few weeks. Many things have contributed to my moodiness…

Anyway, I have already gone through my ELTM forum last Thursday. It is part of my assignment. My group members consists of Adnin, Irrina, and Reva. Well, I am just not really in the mood to type much, so, here is the summary of my forum. Thanks to Adnin for putting up this note, “Working with Ann and Reva…or Reva and Ann” in Facebook and tagging Reva and I in it. Here it goes…

Forum

Thanks to Adnin once again…

I have also finally passed up my Malaysian Studies assignment last Friday. So, I am actually left with 6 more assignments. 5 more individual assignments and 1 group one which I will be teaming up with Adnin and Lee. Happy working together. Isn’t my assignments a lot? Oh well, I do not have any choice but to bear with it…

Anyway, I will be out of college for the next 2 weeks. Will be attending my School Based Experience (SBE) starting this Monday. It will be a hectic time for me as well as my coursemates. I will be going to the same school as Adnin, Lee, and Reva. We are not randomly being teamed up, it is our choice to be together. I will be going to college in a few hours time for the SBE briefing. Only then I will know if the four of us will be in the morning or afternoon session. I would prefer morning actually. We are placed in Sekolah Menengah Seksyen 4 Kota Damansara. Well, neither one of us knows where is the school situated. So, the 4 of us will be going out together later on after the briefing to search for the school. Hopefully we will find our way there…

Beginning of 2nd Semester

Posted: June 20, 2008 in College Life, Friends

Second semester has just started for about a week. After one month of break, I am finally back to my normal routine of getting up early in the morning for lectures. Well, a month of not seeing my friends, I should say everyone is still the same. Perhaps some slight changes in some of them. Anyway, this new semester started in a good way. Everything went fine and is going on fine. Basically for the first few days, there was an introduction for us to our new syllabus. Again, four subjects for this semester and they are Learning and the Learner, Classroom Management, English Language Teaching Methods, and Malaysian Studies. We then had to arrange our own tutorial time. Was trying my very best to keep my Friday free and luckily I could. However, not much lectures and tutorials have been conducted during this first week as lecturers are still busy with their own work. I guess we will be busier next week and assignment questions will be given out next week as well. So, got to be prepared for it. 🙂

Myself and my friends…

Beginning of New Semester

Had lots of fun with Nancie and Reva with me in my room yesterday evening. Reva made us laugh practically every minute with her stupid but funny jokes and her doing funny and peculiar faces at both of us. She is really a joker. Lol. I guess Nancie and myself really used up a lot of energy laughing out loud the whole evening until we really felt hungry during dinner time. So, where to eat? Hmmm, after much fooling and mere “discussing” with each other on where and what to eat, we finally decided to pig out in Secret Recipe at KL Sentral. Oh ya, Nancie and myself had a main course each. The same goes for Reva. However, she could not resist the temptation of getting a dessert. So, she got herself a slice of Chocolate Indulgence cake without feeling guilty and sinful. Or perhaps she was feeling a little of those which made her forced a few spoons of her cake into mine and Nancie’s mouth. LOL!

Secret Recipe

After that, we had a short walk to UM to burn out some calories after pigging out like nobody’s business. 😉 Later that night, Nancie, myself and a few other friends had some chat with Naveen downstairs. It has been almost a month since he left us for something different, something that will enable him to realise his childhoood dream. He is currently back for a few days. Seetal is certainly very delighted with the surprise he has done for her after missing him for nearly a month. 🙂 Good luck in your future undertakings, Naveen!

Summary of My First Semester

Posted: June 11, 2008 in College Life

Farewell to my seniors in KLIA who went off to Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom respectively…

Farewell to Seniors

It was then followed by a Chinese New Year celebration with my lecturers, fellow course mates, seniors, and as well as my juniors…

Chinese New Year

It is our tradition to celebrate English Day every year but I guess I will not be celebrating it for the following next 2 years as I do not think the twinning partners will ever celebrate it…

English Day

10 April 2008 was my Sport’s Day. I took part in the cheerleading event. The experience I had was just indescribable… 🙂

Cheerleading

It was then EXAM period which was on the 5 May to 8 May 2008. Well, I should say exam was tough and we were having time constraint as little time was allocated to complete the essays given. And yeah, a lot of last minute studies were done with my friend, Reva. We were practically deprived of sleep during the exam week…just studying, studying, and studying…

Before Exam

My second semester is starting soon. Really eager to start a new semester after my long break. Hopefully this second semester will be a nice, fun, interesting, and enjoyable one. I am really going enjoy my last few months in KL with my friends…
